Wickford Harbor, RI hypoxic and sulfidic waters Helicopter view of Wickford Harbor, RI  during a sever hypoxic event.  Water appears to have the "milky" look of sulfur precipitating out due to near anoxic waters mixing with surface waters. Brandaris sail out of Wickford, RI The former WWII 63-foot keelless Dutch-design Sailing vessel Brandaris on sunset sail out of Wickford, RI.  Taken on an evening "insomniacs" oxygen survey.  Brandaris made history during World War II when she escaped German occupation, and then returned from England to participate in Operation Dynamo.  Her 3' draft and broad beam allowed the evacuation of British and Allied forces from Dunkirk in 26 May-4 June, 1940.
